Hanson's Terms & Conditions
​1. Introduction
Welcome to Hansons Painting, a Michigan-based painting contractor. By engaging in our services, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions outlined in this document. Please read these terms carefully, as they govern your relationship with us.

2. Definition of Services
Hansons Painting specializes in residential and commercial painting, including but not limited to interior and exterior painting, drywall repair, surface preparation, and related services. Specific services will be detailed in the contractual agreement for each project.

3. Quotes and Estimates
All quotes provided by Hansons Painting are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Estimates are based on the provided information, and we reserve the right to adjust them in case of changes in material costs, project scope, or unforeseen issues encountered upon assessment of the worksite.

4. Deposits and Payment Terms
A deposit of 25% of the total estimate is required to secure your project. The remaining balance is due upon completion of the work. Clients may pay via cash, credit card, or check. Late payments will incur a fee of 2% per month on the outstanding balance.

5. Scheduling and Delays
We strive to adhere to the scheduled timeframe for all projects. However, inclement weather, supply chain disruptions, and other factors may cause delays. Hansons Painting will communicate any significant scheduling changes as soon as possible.

6. Access to Property
Clients must ensure the work area is accessible and clear of personal belongings before the commencement of work. Any delays due to inaccessible work areas may result in additional charges.

7. Liability Insurance
Hansons Painting carries general liability insurance to protect against claims arising from our work. While we take precautions to protect your property, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Clients are encouraged to secure valuable items present in the work area.

8. Workmanship Guarantee
We guarantee our workmanship for one year from the date of completion. This guarantee covers issues related to workmanship only and does not include damages caused by external factors, such as environmental conditions, negligence, or misuse.

9. Change Orders
Any changes to the original scope of work must be documented and approved by both parties in writing. Change orders may incur additional costs, which will be communicated before the continuation of work.

10. Cancellations and Rescheduling
Clients may cancel or reschedule services with at least 48 hours’ notice without penalty. Cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to the scheduled start may result in forfeiture of the deposit.

11. Termination of Services
Hansons Painting reserves the right to terminate services if the client fails to meet payment obligations, provides unsafe working conditions, or exhibits abusive behavior towards our personnel. In such cases, any work started will be billed at an hourly rate for time and materials expended.

12. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the State of Michigan. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved in accordance with Michigan law.

13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Hansons Painting’s liability for any and all claims, damages, or injuries arising from the work performed shall be limited to the total amount paid by the customer for the specific services rendered.

14. Indemnification
The client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Hansons Painting and its employees from any claims, actions, or damages arising from the client's property or any claims made against Hansons Painting due to the client’s negligence.

15. Acceptance of Terms
By engaging our services, the client acknowledges that they have read and understood these Terms and Conditions and agrees to be bound by them.
